stylesense ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered wardrobe management service. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it. For questions, contact us at support@stylesense.app.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of data:

• Account information — your email address and authentication credentials, stored securely in our database.
• Wardrobe images — photos of clothing items you upload, stored in Backblaze B2 cloud storage.
• Item metadata — category labels, AI-generated descriptions, and file sizes associated with your uploaded images, stored in our database.
• Usage data — basic server logs including IP addresses and request timestamps generated in the normal course of operating the Service.
• Chat messages — messages you send to the AI wardrobe assistant. These are processed in real-time and are not permanently stored by us.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data to:

• Provide and operate the Service, including storing and displaying your wardrobe items
• Generate AI-powered descriptions and outfit suggestions using your uploaded content
• Enforce storage limits and manage your account
• Respond to support requests and communicate important service updates
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents

We do not sell your personal data or use it for advertising.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate stylesense:

• Resend — email delivery service used to send verification codes when you sign in. Subject to Resend's privacy policy.
• Backblaze B2 — cloud object storage for your wardrobe images.
• Neon — serverless PostgreSQL database for storing wardrobe item metadata.
• OpenRouter / Google Gemini — AI model provider used to classify images and generate outfit suggestions. Your images and chat messages are sent to this service for processing and are subject to OpenRouter's data handling policies. Images are not used to train AI models without your explicit consent.

5. Data Retention

Your wardrobe images and metadata are retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual items at any time from your wardrobe. When you delete your account, all associated images and metadata will be permanently deleted within 30 days.

Server logs are retained for up to 90 days for security and operational purposes.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to certain processing of your data

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), server-side access controls, and scoped storage keys that ensure each user can only access their own files. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or a prominent notice in the Service before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
